These terms cover blackacecards.com, the launch list, and the $1 inner circle reservation offered by Black Ace Cards ("we"). By signing up or reserving you agree to them. Questions go to hello@blackacecards.com.
The launch list
Signing up is free. On the day our Kickstarter campaign launches, we email you a private link to a reward priced 10% below the campaign's standard deck reward. The link is a Kickstarter secret reward: it only works once the campaign is live, and only on the Kickstarter website while you are logged in, not in the Kickstarter app. The launch date and time shown on this site are our plan and may move; if they do, we will email you the new date.
The $1 inner circle reservation
- What it gets you: instead of the 10% link, on launch day we email you a private link to a reward priced 30% below the standard deck reward, which also includes a Black Ace Cards lapel pin.
- What it is not: it is not a pre-order and not a deposit. It does not count toward your pledge, and it does not buy the deck or the pin on its own. To get them, back the reserved reward on Kickstarter during the campaign. Kickstarter's terms govern your pledge, and nothing ships unless the campaign reaches its funding goal.
- One per person: a reservation is tied to the email address you paid with and is not transferable. The reserved reward may be limited in number.
- Price: $1.00 USD. Stripe may show and charge it in your local currency.
Refunds
The $1 is fully refundable any time before the Kickstarter campaign launches. Email hello@blackacecards.com from the address you paid with and we will refund it in full, usually within two business days. A refund cancels the reservation, and the 30% link goes back to being the 10% link. If the campaign does not launch at all, we refund every reservation without being asked. Once the campaign has launched and the link has been sent, the $1 is no longer refundable, because what it paid for has been delivered.
The site
The designs, images, text, and code on this site belong to Black Ace Cards. You may share links to it, but you may not copy, reproduce, or modify the deck's artwork. We provide the site as it is and do our best to keep it accurate, but campaign details, prices, and dates are set on Kickstarter when the campaign launches.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the site, the list, or a reservation is limited to the amount you paid us, which is $1 at most. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page; changes never apply to a reservation already paid for without your agreement. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
